Information Communication Technology

At Fraser Primary School, we have a vision that all students will use Information Communication Technology confidently and creatively to assist in the development of the skills and knowledge they need to achieve personal learning goals and to be active participants in our society.

To do this we have resourced the school to ensure that all students and staff have access to high quality hardware, software and infrastructure.  Our network runs on an optic fibre backbone and all networked computers have access to the internet via broadband.  As well as having a new computer laboratory for classes to access, each unit has access to a mini lab of computers for student use.  This ensures that students can access the technology required to support their learning.

During the second half of 2006 and early 2007 we are placing a number of Interactive Whiteboards in classrooms across the school K - 6. The Interactive Whiteboards will be networked and have access to the internet and are an engaging and motivating teaching and learning tool to use in the classroom.

Students at Fraser Primary are also engaged in a wide range of multimedia experiences including digital animation and movie making.  In addition, staff and students have access to digital cameras and digital video cameras.
