At Fraser Primary School, students use a range of ICT to support their thinking, learning and communication. Students have opportunities across the curriculum to utilise chromebooks, mobile devices such as iPads, digital and video cameras, interactive whiteboards and a range of software. All Fraser Primary School students have the opportunity to access a Google Suite for Education account. Students are encouraged to access their account through the digital backpack (www.backpack.act.edu.au). Please contact the Front Office if your child is experiencing difficulty accessing their account.
We have a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program to support Year 3 to 6 students in accessing their learning on a familiar device at both home and school. Students in Years 3 to 6 are encouraged to bring a chromebook to school if they own one. All students in Years 3 to 6 have access to a chromebook when they need one regardless of whether or not they bring their own device to school. Please contact the Front Office if you would like to participate in the BYOD program.
We have extensive hardware and software resources for staff and students to access.
Parents/carers are asked to give permission for their child/ren to use the ICT resources of the school and sign the Acceptable Use of ICT and Code of Practice. Students in Years 3-6 are also asked to sign the document.
