The Fraser School Board

Like all ACT Government schools, Fraser Primary is governed by a School Board. Our School Board is composed of the Principal, two elected teachers representatives, three parent & citizens representatives and a member appointed by the Department of Education and Training.

The Board meets approximately monthly in the school library, usually on a Thursday evening. The functions of the board include: establishing the strategic direction of the school; monitoring and reviewing school performance and reporting on it to government, staff and parents; developing, maintaining and reviewing the school's curriculum and educational policies; establishing budgetary policies, including those relating to financial risk; approving the school budget; developing relationships between the school and the community; and encouraging the participation of parents in their children's learning.

The Board maintains effective links with the Fraser P&C Association and welcomes enquiries from parents, staff and members of the local community.
